Upgrading to the current version of Outlook is optional. Here are the versions supported:
Older versions of Outlook (2010 Windows, 2011 or 2013 Mac) are not able to connect to the current version of Exchange server (2019).
After installation, restart your computer and go to Microsoft Update for critical and security updates. See Outlook Updates for details. Do not skip this step.
The Outlook 2013 32-bit and 64-bit packages are separate downloads. If you don't know whether your Windows version is 64-bit or 32-bit, try 64-bit first because 64-bit is preferable. If your system is 32-bit, it will not be able to run the 64-bit setup, but there is no harm in trying.
Outlook 2013 requires Windows 7 or later. You can use Outlook 2013 with other programs from Office 2010. See the full detail of 2013 Office system requirements.
